Delete your BallersHQ account
How to permanently delete your BallersHQ account and personal data, whether you still have the app installed or not.
On this page
01Delete in the app (fastest)
If you still have the BallersHQ app installed, you can request deletion yourself in under a minute:
- Open the BallersHQ app and sign in.
- Go to Profile.
- Under the Account section, tap Delete account.
- Read what happens to your data, then confirm with your transaction PIN (or your password if you signed up with Google and haven't set a PIN).
- If you have a wallet balance under ₦1,000, you'll be asked to acknowledge that it's forfeited; balances of ₦1,000 or more must be withdrawn to your bank account before you can delete your account.
That's it — your account is scheduled for deletion. You'll see a confirmation showing the date it will happen.
02Delete by email (no app needed)
If you've uninstalled the app, can't sign in, or would rather not use the app, email us instead:
Send the request from the email address on your BallersHQ account, with the subject "Delete my BallersHQ account". We may need to verify it's really you before we proceed. Once confirmed, we'll schedule your account for deletion and let you know the date.
03What gets deleted, and when
- 30-day grace period: your account is deactivated immediately but not erased straight away. If you sign back in within 30 days, deletion is automatically cancelled and your account is restored as-is.
- After 30 days: your profile, photos, bank details, transaction PIN and other personal details are removed or anonymised. Your email is replaced with an anonymous placeholder, so your account can no longer be linked back to you.
- Your wallet: you must withdraw any balance of ₦1,000 or more before deleting; a balance under ₦1,000 is forfeited to confirm deletion rather than being left stranded.
- Content you posted: messages, community posts and player ratings you left may remain visible (since other people's conversations and games reference them) but are no longer linked to your name or profile once anonymisation completes.
04What we have to keep
A small amount of data is kept even after deletion, because the law requires it — not because we want to:
- Payment, wallet and booking records: kept for as long as financial, tax and anti-fraud laws require, which can be several years after a transaction.
- Security and fraud-prevention records: kept where needed to investigate incidents and keep the platform safe for other users.
Full detail on data retention and your rights under the Nigeria Data Protection Act is in our Privacy Policy.
